CNC Machine Operator

This is for a 6 AM - 2:30 PM position

We are looking to hire for a full-time role for anyone that has Machine Operating experience for CNC.

Job Description

Operate CNC swiss lathe machines (Star). Basic operation of CNC machine and bar-feeder. Inspect and change worn or broken tools. Basic troubleshooting and preventative maintenance of machinery with help from setup machinists. Perform start-up, operation, and shutdown of assigned machines. Load raw material into bar-feeder and adjust to machine. Keep machines running and monitor quality of product at intervals as assigned. Replace tooling as necessary such as drills, taps, etc. Additional tasks such as cleaning product, removing metal shavings, filling machine with coolant, etc. Keep workstation documentation in order and enter data on production forms including quantity produced, hours worked, etc. Perform general housekeeping in work areas.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Thousand Oaks, California.

Work Environment

Very clean, fast-paced manufacturing environment. Two rooms in the facility are set up with about 20 CNC swiss machines in each room. Operators work inside a cell which includes two machines, a setup person, an inspector, and a 'cell operator' who handles visual inspection and deburring under a microscope. Rubber-soled, non-slip shoes are required. Relatively quiet for a shop environment.
