The Group Sales Manager works to increase the client base through consistent solicitations while establishing trust and rapport with clients to generate and boost revenues for the resort.

The Group Sales Manager services new and existing accounts to ensure repeat business.

Competencies:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Effective business writing skills (grammar, vocabulary, clarity and brevity).
  • Clear and concise verbal communication skills.
  • Self-directed and able to maximize use of time, resources and technology.
  • Ability to investigate and analyze current activities or information in the sales/ marketing field and make logical conclusions and recommendations.
  • Must possess communication skills in terms of the ability to negotiate, convince, sell, and influence professionals and hotel guests and make decisions based on established policies and procedures
  • Must be flexible and able to react to changing situations
  • Highly organized and detail oriented with thorough follow up skills
  • Team oriented
  • Maintains office, employee and company confidentiality at all times.

Education:

  • A four-year college degree or equivalent industry experience required.
  • Two plus years of employment in outside sales preferred.

Physical & Other Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Ability to work at a computer station for majority of workday.
  • Pre-employment MS Office and keyboarding skill testing required.
  • Evenings, weekends and holidays are a regular part of the schedule.
  • Must have excellent attendance and conduct record for consideration.
  • Must have unrestricted and insurable driving record.
