Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Interact with internal and external stake holders.

  • Study hardware spec for IP’s present in a SoC and identify the core functionalities for validating them.

  • Understand the design of the SW modules planned for the SoC

  • Define the KPI’s required for HW IP validation.

  • Perform SoC system verification of the HW IPs on Simulators and Emulators

  • Review design, code or test reports and other submissions to customer to ensure qualit

Required Skills (Technical Competency):

  • Experience working in Embedded domain – MCUs and SoCs

  • Experience in capturing requirements from specifications and identify test scenarios

  • Good in understanding SW design and involved middleware components

  • Proficiency in Embedded C programming

  • Experience working on ARM Cortex A core SoCs booting Linux based OS.

  • Good understanding of peripherals like GPIO, I2C, SPI, Timer, DMA, ADC, DAC, PWM etc.

  • Experience in Linux middleware (SDK) development and testing using sample applications

  • Good debugging and communication skills

Good to Have Skills :

  • Experience working on Renesas RCar SoC’s

  • Good at reading and understanding Hardware Datasheet and schematics

  • Experience working on Linux BSP and device drivers

  • Familiarity working with any Pre-Silicon Simulator/Emulator tools – FFS, VDK, Protium, Palladium, etc.

  • Experience in Automotive domain, IVI applications and use cases

  • Experience with Linux working environment, ARM processor, GNU toolchain

  • Experience in Yocto build environment and cross-compilation methods

  • Understanding in Linux Kernel internals (Processes, Threads, Synchronization, Scheduling, IPC etc.)

  • Knowledge about Embedded Systems boot process – Multiple stage bootloaders (IPL, U-Boot), Kerne
