Sub Arc Welder

Qualifications:

  • Five or more years of sub arc welding experience preferred.
  • A High School diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience with reading blueprints preferred

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Promotes, executes and adheres to the companys safety program.
  • Sets and operates welding machine for applicable welding processes.
  • Performs welding processes assigned for either structural, pipe, and/or automatic welding projects.
  • Passes required welding test in accordance to AWS D1.1 latest edition.
  • Maintains quality of welding that can pass NDT testing procedures.
  • Performs welding assignments in a safe and efficient manner practicing safety at all times.
  • Operates applicable hand tools (chipping hammers, grinders, etc.).
  • Follows instructions, written and/or verbal, with little or no supervision.
  • Examines work pieces for defects and measures work pieces with straight edges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
  • Performs other construction duties or task as required based on companys needs.
