Overview

CT Technologist

As a CT Technologist you will perform technical diagnostic CT imaging procedures.

The Woodlands Hospital is a 245 bed non-profit facility providing quality health care to patients and communities in and around The Woodlands, Texas. We are part of CommonSpirit Health which operates 139 hospitals and more than 1,000 care sites across 21 states, making our services accessible to nearly 1 in 4 U.S. residents. This role is located at our Hospital Outpatient Department in Huntsville.

Position Summary:

Operates diagnostic equipment and performs a variety of technical diagnostic imaging procedures related to CT. Provides patient orientation, procedure explanation, and pre and post diagnostic care to completion of test. Performs complete diagnostic imaging tests inclusive of positioning patient, calibration of equipment, and documentation of findings, with the direction of the imaging supervisor/manager. Assists patients with basic patient care needs.

Every day you will review and verify physician’s orders, perform CT exams, communicate and involve patient of the diagnostic test and start Patient IVs.

Responsibilities

  • Inform patient of diagnostic procedure being performed

Qualifications

To thrive in this role you must have:

  • HS diploma or GED; Associate’s Degree Preferred

  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – ARRT (R) (CT) obtained by nine months upon hire; must maintain current Certified by Texas Department of Health as Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist – MRT; must maintain current CPR/BLS certification; CT license may be obtained within nine months of moving into the role.

  • Preferred ‐ One (1) year of experience as a radiographer or one (1) year of radiography clinical rotation experience in a healthcare setting

Pay Range

$30.55 - $44.30 /hour
