About the Team

We are looking for a new colleague to support our customer location in Austin, Texas!

What you can look forward to as a Resident Quality Engineer

  • Be the customer representative at the Plant and represent the Plant's operations to the customer, Tesla.

  • Keep the team informed about customer requirements and keep customer portals updated.

  • Manage activities to satisfy customer needs (Reduce Customer complaints).

  • Negotiate with the customer to eliminate complaints.

  • Perform product and process audits at customer site.

Your profile as Resident Quality Engineer

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar discipline.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Quality Department in the automotive industry.

  • Steering Electrical or Column Electrical Product Knowledge (preferred).

  • 1 year of Experience as a Customer Service Engineer.

  • Knowledge in Customer Portals (Tesla preferred)

  • Experience with Minitab, IQ APIS, and Core tools

  • Automotive Process Approach to Auditing and Risk-Based Thinking

  • Knowledge in IATF 16949 Quality Management system requirements for the Automotive Industry.

  • Experience in Problem Solving analysis and decision making.

  • Familiarity with Revers FMEA validation and Validation Procedure for Error proofing.

  • Proficiency in both English and Spanish is preferred.

  • Ability to travel for business to Mexico.
