Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the creation, implementation, review, maintenance and enforcement of accounting policies and procedures for existing and newly acquired businesses.

  • Assist in the successful implementation of accounting related software including establishment and maintenance of control procedures.

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls related to accounting and financial reporting processes.

  • Ensure preparation, review, and compliance of financial statements with GAAP and other applicable requirements.

  • Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate efficient audits and ensure compliance with audit requirements.

  • Provide corporate oversight of company-wide Revenue Accounting in accordance with ASC 606, Revenue from Contracts with Customers.

  • Manage company-wide Lease Accounting and Reporting.

  • Perform technical accounting research and analysis of complex transactions in accordance with US GAAP and SEC requirements and present conclusions in accounting memos.

  • Coordinate with third party valuation firms as it relates to valuations needed to account for certain transactions, such as Business Combinations.

  • Provide accounting support for monthly close and FP&A reporting as it relates to intangibles, equity-related transactions, equity-based compensation plans, debt, derivatives, business combinations as well as other areas as needed.

  • Stay Current and analyze new accounting guidance from the FASB, SEC and other regulatory bodies, including evaluating the impact of new guidance on the Company’s financial statements. Implement and educate business units and cross-functional teams of necessary changes, and ensure proper disclosure.

  • Coordinate and collaborate effectively with business units and cross-functional teams to gather relevant information for accounting and reporting purposes.

  • Support management in the fulfilment of ad hoc requests and special projects.

  • Effectively lead and mentor any direct reports and others supporting this position’s responsibilities.

  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Required Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

  • Big 4 experience required.

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in accounting with demonstrated technical skills.

  • Experience in external financial reporting, including extensive knowledge of GAAP and SEC rules and regulations.

  • Experience in technical accounting research and documentation for complex transactions.

  • Experience leading teams.
