Position Summary:

UTHealth Houston is looking for a Project Manager in Marketing and Web Services. This employee leads project management throughout the life cycle of marketing and website projects. Plans, coordinates, and manages projects to ensure efficient completion within budgetary, space, and time limits. You will be handling internal clients such as departments within the University. Intakes, service requests, and form requests will be a routine part of your duties. You will also manage who is engaged to work on the projects and make sure that appropriate resources are provided. A client services background is preferred.

These projects deal with marketing and web services with a strong emphasis on front-end web development, design, and accessibility. Experience with managing website projectswill be extremely helpful, and knowledge of higher education and healthcare is also a plus. You will often be juggling multiple projects simultaneously, so you need to know how to prioritize tasks and manage team members.

This will be a hybrid role with the opportunity for flexible hours. Your office will be at our University Center Tower in the heart of the Texas Medical Center at Fannin and Pressler. You will be eligible for all benefits from UTHealth Houston!

Position Key Accountabilities:

  • Organizes and leads meetings with clients to discuss project goals, audiences, and execution.

  • Evaluates requests, communicates with clients, and allocates resources.

  • Creates tasks, assigns team members, and sets deadlines.

  • Develops and manages workflows to promote efficiencies and communication.

  • Monitors and prioritizes multiple projects.

  • Continually assesses current projects and timelines.

  • Ensures writing, artwork, and design meets university brand standards and policies.

  • Point of contact for vendors, including agencies and software providers.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Certification/Skills:

· Proficient with project management systems. Familiarity with Monday.com is a plus.

· Strong experience managing projects of all sizes and scope, preferably in higher education and/or healthcare.

· Familiarity with website development, marketing, and web accessibility is ideal.

Minimum Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Project Management, Marketing, Design, or a related field is required.

Minimum Experience:

Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in project management, marketing, or graphic design is required. May substitute required experience with equivalent years of education beyond the minimum education requirement.

We prefer candidates with a client services background, like an agency scenario.

Physical Requirements:

Exerts up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount frequently to move objects.

Residency Requirement:
