Ruiz Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Science,McGovern Medical School atUTHealth Houston, is seeking a board-certified clinician with fellowship training in neuro-ophthalmology to join ourneuro-ophthalmology division. This is an academic appointment with research and teaching opportunities and expectations.

Position Key Accountabilities:

We are seeking a clinician interested in building a busy practice at our primary location,Robert Cizik Eye Clinic, in theTexas Medical Center. Other responsibilities may include resident and/or fellow supervision at our county hospital,Harris Health Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital, which is central to and the primary location of our education programs.

Qualifications:

  • Texas Medical License or eligible for a Texas faculty temporary license.

  • Board-certified/eligible in ophthalmology,

  • Fellowship training or equivalent in neuro-ophthalmology,

Academic track with potential for tenure. Appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level will be determined by experience.
