Job Title: Global Logistics Coordinator

Job Description

Coordinates import and export logistics activities via ocean, air, and truck with multiple carriers from point of pick up to point of delivery. Proactively monitor import and export shipments from booking through delivery by tracking, maintaining records, providing documentation, and problem resolution as needed. Investigates problems, finds root causes, and develops solutions. Assesses the effectiveness of current global logistics and/or transportation processes, determines improvements, and coordinates institutionalized change. Responsible for assembling data, analyzing performance, identifying problems, and making recommendations which support the management of global logistics and supply chain operations. Monitors contract compliance of carriers and other global logistics service providers. Monitors contract and country restriction products. Coordinates and communicates global logistics issues between logistics service providers, Inside Sales, and Outside Sales.

Hard Skills

  • Knowledge of import/export regulations

  • Experience with USMCA and NAFTA regulations

  • Bachelor’s degree + 2–4-year equivalent job-related experience

  • Experience as a freight forwarder

  • Broad range of computer skills (database, spreadsheet, logistics software packages)

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

Job Type

This is a contract position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Tewksbury, Massachusetts.

Work Environment

8-5 pm with 2–10-minute breaks and 1 hour for lunch. Hybrid work model available after 4-6 weeks of training: 3 days from home, 2 days from the office. Requirements for hybrid work include having children in daycare or school, a dedicated office space free from interruptions, professional dress code, camera-on for virtual calls, and ability to come to the office if electricity is lost. Provided equipment includes 2 screens, a laptop, and a phone system that connects to the laptop.
