Basic Job Functions:

The Applications Engineer is responsible for technical support primarily customer quotations and business development case studies for various composite applications. Key emphasis will be on the ability to understand customer requirements and rapidly demonstrate how composite-based solutions can be utilized to provide solutions with costing, timing, and resources included in the proposals.

Additional Functions:

  • Create and maintain drawing database using both AutoCad and Inventor.

  • Provide submittal drawings to sales using AutoCad.

  • Supply detailed component drawings to suppliers for production.

  • Work with engineering, sales, dealers, and end users to understand design requirements.

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.

  • Knowledge of electric motors.

  • Provide customer support regarding door installation, troubleshooting, and electrical wiring.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or other comparable engineering degree

  • 3 years in a high-volume manufacturing environment

  • 1 year of Continuous Improvement or Lean/Six Sigma experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Operational knowledge of condition monitoring and associate applications

  • Solid understanding of understanding of designing engineering solutions.
