About the Indiana State Board of Accounts (SBOA):

The Indiana State Board of Accounts is dedicated to providing the citizens of the State of Indiana with complete confidence in the integrity and financial accountability of state and local government. Role Overview:

As the Accounting Intern at SBOA, you will apply professional accounting and auditing knowledge and techniques under the direction of an experienced Field Examiner or Field Supervisor to assist in planning and conducting routine or special audits of local agencies governmental units. You will verify compliance with State, federal, and local laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations in terms of consistency and adherence to accepted accounting principles and management practices. You will report to advanced level Field Examiner or Field Supervisor.

Terre Haute, IN

Internship locations are dependent upon the number of applicants and Agency capacity to staff the location.

Salary Statement:

The salary for this position traditionally starts at $20.00 per hour but may be commensurate with education or work experience.

Benefits of Employment with the State of Indiana:

This seasonal position does not offer benefits and is limited to 180 working days in an eleven (11) month continuous period
