Robert Half Medical Billing Specialist in Temperance, Michigan

Description Are you an experienced Medical Biller seeking an immediate opportunity in Temperance MI. If so, this role might be ideal for you. Our client in Temperance is in need of a Medical Biller. The Medical Biller is responsible for a variety of billing and coding tasks relating to the efficient provision of medical and dental services. This role is 100% onsite in Temperance and pay up to $21/hr. .

Medical Biller duties and responsibilities

Identify errors and discrepancies in CPT and ICD10 Coding.

Ensure coding is accurate for encounter and ensuring company is billing for all services provided.

Comply with specific guidelines for all carriers, Medicaid, Medicare and third party reimbursement policies, regulations and accreditation guidelines.

Reviewing, revising and working rejections and resubmitting claims.

Submission of secondary claims upon processing of primary insurance.

Provide findings from review of encounters to create a reporting/training mechanism.

Assist with compliance and profitability within medical and dental practices through accurate coding and documentation.

Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Knowledge of CPT and ICD10 Coding.

Working knowledge of coding, billing and collection of claims.

Strong organizational skills with solid problem solving skills.

Proficient computer skills and EMR experience.

Billing and Coding Certificate required / CPC preferred.

Associate Degree / Certificate from a technical school for billing and /or coding.

2 years of Billing, Coding and collections of claims in a healthcare setting. Requirements • Proficiency in Medical Billing procedures and protocols.

• Knowledge of CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) Codes.

• Familiarity with ICD-10 (International Classification of Diseases) coding system.

• Experience in handling Claim Denials and Medical Collections.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

• Strong communication skills to interact with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance companies.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.

• Proficient in using healthcare billing software and electronic health records systems.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.

• Strong problem-solving skills to address billing discrepancies and errors.

• Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare regulations.

• Minimum education of a High School Diploma or equivalent, with preference for candidates with a relevant certification or degree in Medical Billing or a related field.
