Description:

Currently hiring 2 surveyors to add to their Phoenix Team. Looking for someone that will fit into their work culture. Need a surveyor that can hit the ground running as they are building a new team.

They will be running their own team, so they need to be able to self-perform on the various jobsites they will be working at. They have a long-run way when they start, so we need someone that has a owner mentality.

This individual will start working on these following projects:

Project Discover- Casa Grande- (End Date: April 2025)

Scatterwash- Concrete project -(End Date Sept. 2024)

Tempe Diablo- Renovation- (End Date July 2024)

Smaller Projects in the valley

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Responsible for performing survey and mapping of construction measurements and advise team members during all stages of the construction project through direct surveys and layout support.

Role Summary: As a Land Surveyor at M.A. Mortenson, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate survey and mapping of our construction projects. You will be responsible for performing direct surveys, layout support, and guiding the team through all stages of the construction process. This role demands a proactive approach, with an emphasis on owner mentality, as you will be running your own team and contributing to the growth of our new Phoenix branch.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain Trimble GPS survey equipment including Base Station, SCS 900, and GCS 900 software.

• Perform detailed survey computations, plan reading, and note-taking.

• Survey existing conditions at proposed work sites and verify the location of structures during new construction.

• Provide layout support and effectively manage and build relationships with diverse team members and other stakeholders.

• Ensure high standards of care, cleaning, and maintenance of survey equipment.
