Are you ready to step into a position that combines your communication skills, attention to detail, ability to multitask, and unrelenting drive to help others? As a staff pharmacist for Trend Management, you’ll be part of a dedicated team which ensures that our customers receive accurate and timely information about plans and costs. You will be on the front lines with doctors’ offices, providing formulary information and responding to phone inquiries with care and detail.

This is a remote position. Ideal candidates must reside and be licensed in one of the following states: Arizona, Indiana or Tennessee and preferably reside within an hour of our local sites.

The start dates for this position are 5/20 and 5/28.

During the training period, the hours will be Monday through Friday 9:00 am - 5:30 pm ET for all candidates. Once training is completed, the following shift schedules will apply Monday through Friday:

  • AZ candidates: 11:30 am - 8 pm ET

  • IN candidates: 10:30 am -7 pm or 9:00 am - 5:30 pm ET

  • TN candidates: 10:30 am - 7 pm or 9:30 am - 6 pm CT

How you’ll make a difference:

  • Be a superstar in the eyes of providers and patients alike: Accept transfer and/or initiate phone calls with physicians’ offices to deliver formulary information as well as handle inbound and outbound calls to educate patients on plan design and cost.

  • Use your expert problem solving skills to help our patients be at their best every day: Work with patients and doctors to research issues with medication coverage to help patients get the medication they need.

  • Juggle multiple tasks without sacrificing attention to detail. You will be busy handling multiple requests at any given time, as well as documenting information from your conversations in our computer system.

Essential Functions:

  • Verify prescription information entered in the system by pharmacy staff, including controlled substances.

  • Obtain new or clarified prescription information from prescribers.

  • Work with physicians to convert prescriptions to generic or preferred drugs whenever possible.

  • Inbound or outbound calls to counsel patients on their medication therapies.

  • Convert prescriptions from a 30-day supply to a 90-day supply.

  • Contact doctors and/or patients to verify information on prescriptions such as drug strength, prescription sig., and drug name in order to expedite processing of orders.

  • Outbound calls to schedule delivery of interchanged biosimilar medications.

  • Assisting patients with copay assistance information.

  • Back up other pharmacists as needed, perform additional duties as assigned by management, or train less experienced pharmacists.

What You Should Have:

  • Graduate of ACPE Accreditation School of Pharmacy with a B.S. Pharmacy or Pharm.D, degree.

  • 1-2 years relevant experience.

  • Current resident pharmacist license in good standing.

  • Highly evolved clinical pharmacy skills and/or clinical knowledge.

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficient in use of computer applications.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, solve problems and make informed decisions in a timely fashion.

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively and professionally represent Accredo to patients, clinicians, clients and the public.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve issues.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
