Description

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Program Manager to join the Sort Tech team within Amazon Transportation Services Flow Optimization Tech.

The role will collaborate with program managers, product managers, research scientists, software developers, and business stakeholders to make an impact in the Amazon Logistics network to focus primarily on automation Under the Roof (UTR).

As a Sr. Program Manager, you will interact with many of Amazon’s most complex systems to synthesize data and compile valuable insights that increase customer satisfaction. Those findings will be the genesis for metrics and scalable mechanisms that will fuel new opportunities. You will enable the creation of products that reduce variable costs, while delivering speed of execution for our customers. The successful candidate will make a material impact bridging collective efforts between multiple stakeholders. Your responsibility will be to expose failure points within our current systems and dive deep into existing algorithms to explain outliers. We are looking for someone who enjoys the challenge of ambiguity in data and an expert at communicating insights and creating narratives that are simple yet powerful and drive change.

Key job responsibilities

As a Sr. Program Manager, your role is critical and visible across the organization. Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Support business decisions with well thought out data narratives

• Design, develop, and establish project strategies and timelines

• Systematically identify failure points and follow through on resolutions to ensure compliance

• Pull and report data from numerous databases (using Excel, SQL, and/or other data management systems) and proven capability to dive deep and utilize known research and problem solving techniques

• Communicate complex insights to stakeholders, both verbally and in writing

The successful candidate is analytical and possesses a passion for developing insights from data. You should be able to communicate those insights effectively to business stakeholders. This requires excellent business acumen and communication skills, as well as the ability to work with leaders to develop and define key business questions. You will demonstrate critical analytical thinking and the willingness to dive deep.

About the team

Sort Tech is a team that obsesses over the associate working in Amazon Fulfillment Centers, Sort Centers, and AIR facilities. We build tools and automation systems that drive Amazon's Middle Mile logistics network.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $92,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
