About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Credit Risk Specialist within the Consumer Credit Card Risk CRO Organization. This role focuses on collections strategies, leveraging expertise in customer life-cycle risk management, risk models, agile execution, risk oversight, and optimization. In addition to their technical expertise, the ideal candidate will possess strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling them to effectively convey complex risk concepts to diverse audiences. They will also have a business manager mindset, combining strategic thinking with practical execution to manage risk and drive business results. Furthermore, demonstrate the ability to coordinate and manage cross-functional initiatives, drive organizational efficiency, and support executive decision-making. In this role, you will:

  • Quantitative analytics using programming tools (SQL, SAS, Tableau and/or Python, R) to analyze data from a variety of sources to develop portfolio and collection management strategies.

  • Review and analyze complex strategies, programs, and policies with a direct and significant impact on credit risk appetite and culture.

  • Produce and review monthly, quarterly, and annual strategy performance reports for senior management.

  • Exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.

  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.

  • Collaborate with business for oversight of risk management.

  • 4+ years of Credit Risk experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

Required Qualifications:

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong strategy, data/analytics and reporting experiences, SAS/SQL and/or Python/R background, and extensive experience in combining/analyzing data from multiple large data sources to develop and implement credit control strategies. Familiarity with credit card industry is a plus.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner.

  • Effective Storytelling: Capability to transform raw data into visually engaging stories in PowerPoint that highlights objective , methodology and recommendations.

  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.

  • 4 + years of experience with computer programs including, but not limited to, Microsoft Excel, VBA (Visual Basic for Applications), Cognos or Tableau, SharePoint, google doc.

  • Knowledge and understanding of data mining techniques.

  • Proactive with results driven attitude, and strong problem-solving skills.

  • Well organized, attention to detail.

  • Proven track record with hands on experience in business analytics and strategy recommendation.

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$84,000.00 - $164,400.00
