Job Description

Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU is seeking a passionate and dynamic Front Office Supervisor to join our hospitality team. With 330 guest rooms, 36,000 square feet of event space, and four food and beverage outlets, including a rooftop upscale restaurant and the largest ballroom in the area, we offer a wide range of dining and entertainment options for our guests. This role is an integral part of the rooms division, ensuring a 4-diamond guest experience from arrival through departure. Our ideal candidate is ready to take the next step in front office leadership, enjoys training, and has the service and problem-solving abilities to share the responsibilities of serving as manager on duty.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Front Office Management team in overseeing daily front office operations and supervising associates.

  • Process guest check-ins by confirming reservations, assigning rooms, issuing keys, and securing valid payments.

  • Block rooms according to guest preferences and drive revenue through engaging associates in upselling programs.

  • Respond to all guest requests promptly, maintaining alertness, courtesy, and helpfulness to guests and associates at all times.

  • Communicate any needs or concerns within the hotel to the appropriate departments.

  • Attend and prepare for daily stand-up meetings to relay information from the previous shift and brief incoming associates.

  • Ensure compliance with all Front Office policies, standards, and procedures.

  • Support the training and development of front office associates, conducting daily quality audits.

  • Follow all Loss Prevention procedures regarding guest property, safety, and security, and report any concerns to department managers or loss prevention in a timely manner.

  • Provide Manager on Duty coverage as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School graduate or equivalent.

  • Prior Rooms Supervisory experience preferred.

  • Previous upscale hotel experience preferred.

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.

  • General computer proficiency and the ability to learn hotel computer programs, Microsoft Word & Excel.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Customer service oriented, with the ability to multi-task, detail-oriented, and excellent organizational skills.

  • Must be able to push and pull large bell carts along with lifting heavy luggage in and out of vehicles.

  • Must be able to stand for long periods.

*This position is a full-time, on-site position with no work from home flexibility.
