Job Duties: Design water and wastewater treatment facilities, collection systems, water conveyance systems, booster pump stations, water, and reclaimed wastewater master plans; Specify and design water treatment processes, piping and pumping systems for municipal applications; Analyze reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, tests, and aerial photographs on soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and topographical and geological data; Calculate cost and determine the feasibility of projects based on analysis of collected data; Prepare cost estimates for various water and wastewater related projects; Prepare and/or modify reports, specifications, plans, MOPOs, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, and designs; Inspect the construction site and oversee the contractors to monitor progress and ensure conformance with engineering plans, specifications, and safety standards; Coordinate and conduct client and progress meetings; Develop reports for process design and hydraulic criteria for conventional surface water treatment, adsorption process for groundwater, membrane systems, and residual handling systems; and Responsible for directing construction and maintenance activities at project site.

Minimum Entry Qualifications:At least a master\'s degree in civil engineering or a closely related field. Foreign equivalent degree accepted. Through masters level education, must possess expertise in water system design. Full licensure as a professional engineer is not required, as employee will be working at all times under the supervision of an Arizona licensed Professional Engineer.
