Summary
The Supply Chain Data Analyst will play a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency of supply chain operations through detailed data research, collection, and analysis. This position involves developing and managing advanced reporting, analytics, and dashboards, as well as creating processes and tools to access data from various sources. The ideal candidate will possess excellent attention to detail, a deep understanding of supply chain functions, and exceptional analytical skills. This role demands a proactive approach to improving supply chain operations and contributing to the achievement of strategic goals through data-driven insights and recommendations.
What You'll Do
Create and maintain automated dashboards, metric reports, and data visualizations to inform leadership and aid in decision making.
Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive supply chain efficiency.
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and supply chain metrics.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and provide actionable insights for decision-making.
Utilize statistical methods and data visualization tools to present findings to stakeholders.
Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve supply chain issues and inefficiencies.
Support the implementation of data-driven strategies to optimize inventory management, demand forecasting, risk management, strategic sourcing, investment recovery and hauling/logistics functions.
Ensure data accuracy and integrity by performing regular data audits and validation checks.
Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data analytics and supply chain management.
Assist in the development and maintenance of data models, databases, and data integration processes.
Provide training and support to team members on data analysis tools and techniques.
Support the organization with ad hoc reporting.
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and other support groups.
Work closely with Procurement, Logistics, Materials Management, and Investment Recovery by providing recommendations based on current & future departmental needs.
Understanding of SRP and Supply Chain policies, procedures, and standards.
Provide actionable insights and recommendations for business decisions. Utilize business intelligence tools to support analysis, insights, and communication. Apply statistical, analytical, and programming skills to analyze both structured and unstructured data.
What It Takes To Succeed
Prefer 5 years' experience within IT, business analytics, supply chain or other utility experience.
Knowledge of best practices for data management and architecture, and reporting.
Knowledge of data integration approaches and SRP’s supply chain planning tools & systems.
Strong understanding of Purchasing, Logistics, Investment Recovery or Materials Management.
Great communication skills, positive attitude, and ability to work well in a team/collaborative environment.
Ability to navigate and thrive in situations with ambiguous or unclear requests, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and adaptability.
Experience
Promotion to Level 2 requires a minimum of two years experience at Level 1 and demonstrated capability to perform advanced and more difficult work as determined by the supervisor. Promotion to Senior Level requires a minimum of 3 years experience at Level 2, is fully competent in all aspects of functional area of assignment and as such would be recognized as a specialist in area of assignment and may have periodic or occasional lead responsibilities.
Education
Completion of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution that prepares the employee for the assignment.
Hybrid Workplace
SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
