Store Manager

The primary purpose of this position is to manage a 4 Wheel Parts Performance Centers retail location (including Service Department) and maximize all financial opportunities. Frequent independent judgments are essential. 4 Wheel Parts also requires that all employees perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with Company policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides customer service;

  • Responsible for Company signing Compliance standards (including Service Department);

  • Reacts with urgency to changing sales opportunities;

  • Ensures implementation of monthly display packets;

  • Communicates current market trends to employees;

  • Communicates the competitor’s activities in the specific market area to Regional Manager;

  • Ensures compliance with the standards for fixture usage and maintenance;

  • Ensures compliance to the stockroom (warehouse) standards;

  • Responsible for Service Department Compliance standards (Eye Protection);

  • Ensures compliance with the Company dress code policy (including Service Department);

  • Participates in mandatory training programs;

  • Ensures employee participation in mandatory training programs (including Service Department);

  • Interviews and hires; explains employee benefits; conducts employee performance appraisals, processes terminations;

  • Sells merchandise to Customers, teaches/ demonstrates selling skills;

  • Takes appropriate action on cashier proficiency and related reports;

  • Ensures compliance with labor agreements, when applicable;

  • Ensures compliance to quality ordering functions;

  • Follows up on overstock/under stock conditions to ens ure ordering system integrity;

  • Follows Company policies for freight receiving and freight stocking standards;

  • Maintains an awareness of daily/weekly sales and takes appropriate action ;

  • Ensures the condition of the facilities are being maintained (including Service Department);

  • Reviews, analyzes and takes appropriate action on all financial reports;

  • Ensures the Company assets are protected;

  • Ensures control of expenses;

  • Reviews Profit and Loss results with Regional Manager;

  • Responds to verbal and written Customer comments/complaints/requests;

  • Ensures daily and weekly time and attendance functions are completed;

  • Ensures appropriate action is taken on all maintenance/repair needs (including Service Department);

  • Prepares store for physical inventory;

  • Complies with defective merchandise handling procedures are followed;

  • Follows Company policy for freight shipping; 

  • Additional Management functions as assigned;

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    This position directly supervises subordinate supervisory personnel (Assistant Manager) and non-supervisory personnel and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with 4 Wheel Parts policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, directing, rewarding, disciplining employees, appraising employee performance, resolving complaints, terminations.

    Minimum Requirements  

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals;

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; 

  • Ability to speak effectively to both employees and Customers;

  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently;

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions, percentages and interest;

  • Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form;

  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations;

  • Commitment to providing Customer service that makes our Customers want to shop with us again;

  • Ability and willingness to move with purpose and a strong sense of urgency;

  • Ability to work weekends on a regular basis;
