Looking to fill ten (10) Stone Trimmers and Cutters positions from 10/01/2024 to 12/15/2024. This is for full-time, peak-load temporary employment

Duties include: Cut, shape, and trim raw stone and finished stone products using knives, scissors, and other hand tools, portable power tools, or bench- mounted tools. Read work orders and utilize tape measures and carpenter squares to determine dimensions, cutting locations, and quantities to cut. Separate materials or products according to size, weight, type, condition, color, or shade. Replace or sharpen dulled cutting tools such as saws. Lift and carry the product by hand. Count, stack, and sort items on pallets for packaging and shipping. Load pallets onto trucks. Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. when necessary. The pay range is from $21.36 per hour with overtime available from $32.04 per hour, based on the hourly rate. The schedule is 40 hours per week from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday-Friday. The job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position. Daily travel to worksites in the area of intended employment is required. The requested temporary workers will be based at 1500 Last Dollar Road & Airport Maintenance Road Telluride, CO 81435, and will service clients within the Southwest Colorado nonmetropolitan area - Archuleta County; Chaffee County; Delta County; Dolores County; Fremont County; Gunnison County; Hinsdale County; La Plata County; Montezuma County; Montrose County; Ouray County; San Juan County; San Miguel County. Employer provides transportation to and from all worksites.

A single workweek will be used in computing wages due. The pay period is Bi-Weekly. Employer will make all deductions from worker's paycheck required by law. Transportation, including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging, to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed by a company check, separate from the payroll check, if the worker completes half of the employment period. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back to home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economically and reasonably common carrier for the distance involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. Reimbursement in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker (but not included passport expenses or other charges primarily for the benefit of the worker). The employer will provide workers, at no charge, with all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job and on-the-job training in the proper use of tools and equipment. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period only to the extent that this guarantee is enforced by the Department of Labor. As of the date of this posting, the three-fourths guarantee is not enforced.
