LEAF River, a subsidiary of New Jersey Resources is seeking a Control Room Management Specialist position to provide oversight of the Control Room Management (CRM) Program to ensure compliance with Federal regulations. Responsible for the administration and documentation requirements of Federal Code 49 CFR Part 192.631 as it applies to Gas Control in LREC. Establish and maintain the Gas Control Training Program which provides for initial and continuous Gas Controller training. Oversees various support functions performed by Gas Controllers and other Control Room personnel related to Gas Supply. Responsible for developing and maintaining a Gas Controller training program from initial controller qualification through continued Gas Controller training as required by Part 192.631.

Major Responsibilities:

• Administration and documentation of the Company’s Control Room Management Plan (CRM), including development, modification, and execution of Gas Control procedures to comply with CRM

• Identifying and developing training programs to ensure Gas Controller qualifications are in compliance with CRM requirements and to serve as liaison to the NJR S&T OQ Training Department to implement continued Gas Controller training.

• Serving as the CRM Designated Risk Manager to review and ensure shift schedules and emergency coverage complies with Federally Regulated Fatigue Mitigation requirements.

• Directing the review of SCADA alarms and critical alarm summaries to ensure compliance with CRM Alarm Management requirements.

• Evaluate deviations from the CRM Plan and provide recommendations to Management to minimize deviations to ensure compliance with CRM requirements.

• May be asked infrequently to work with Gas Controllers outside of normal operating hours.

• Work with the Manager of Environmental Health and Safety in drill planning.

• Work with Director of Compliance to ensure CRM Program is aligned with NJR S&T policies and procedures.

• Collaborate across departments.

• Works independently to translate CRM strategy and roadmap into tactical plans and drive execution to achieve business objectives.

Position Specifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of related experience required; 5 years of PHMSA compliance experience is preferred

• Requires technical knowledge in the area of natural gas transmission systems and configurations, and SCADA system operations, as well as an understanding of gas pressure and flow relationship

• Excellent communication skills

• Knowledge of applicable State and Federal codes

• Requires familiarity with the Company’s supply and transportation contracts

• Excellent work management, prioritization skills, and ability to communicate between multiple departments and companies

• Proficiency with computer, database and word processing systems

• Strong planning and organizing skills

• Work effectively in a team environment and possess team development and leadership skills

• Takes ownership of responsibilities and able to handle multiple work assignments and prioritize
