Greenberry Industrial is hiring an Field Engineer 

Reports To: Project Manager

Project location is Taylor TX

JOB SUMMARY

Engineer is responsible for performing engineering activities and supporting the Project Manager in coordinating technical activities on assigned projects including engineering deliverables, reviewing subcontractor work products for technical accuracy, and monitoring work products for compliance with applicable codes, contract requirements, and accepted engineering practices.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, the employee must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The employee will provide support for the following representative tasks of the job. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

 

  • Read and understand engineering drawings

  • Understand technical specifications, codes, and standards

  • Ability to work to procedures to produce engineering deliverables

  • Ability to set priorities to meet project schedules

  • Able to work with subcontractors to ensure requirements and schedule are met

  • Support project manager with technical issues

  • Participate in client/contractor meetings to resolve engineering issues.

  • Support test and inspection activities, both performance of activities and oversight/review of tests or inspections performed by others

  • Support project manager as need with receiving, shipping, logistics, or other tasks as need to ensure schedules are met.

  • Ability to review design, specifications, and coordinating activities to support technical evaluation for bidding and resolving problems.

  • Regularly report to work, on time and prepared to perform all tasks as outlined in job description and / or assigned.

  • Perform duties in a safe, ethical, and legal manner following the policies and procedures as established by Greenberry unless otherwise prohibited by law.

  • Other tasks assigned as needs arise

     

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

    The following qualifications are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to perform the job but are not all inclusive.

    Must have a Bachelor of Science degree, or be enrolled in the college of Mechanical, Industrial, Civil Engineering, or related field. Must be able to read, understand and follow blueprints and drawings. Must be computer literate with excellent Microsoft Word, Excel skills, Adobe, Mathcad, and DDS Solid Works; must have excellent written and verbal communication, problem solving, mathematical and analytical skills. Must be able to read, write and understand English and be able to follow written and verbal instructions. Employee must be able to work independently and be able to exercise independent judgment within defined parameters.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    Employee must be in good physical condition:  possess good manual dexterity; be able to sit, stand, kneel, and squat; be able to lift at least 50 lbs; and be able to hear, speak and see within normal ranges (use of corrective devices is allowed). Must be able to wear all required PPE.

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    Normally works in office environment, occasionally may need to perform work on job site or in a manufacturing environment. Potential to be exposed to weather, dirt/dust, loud noise, and will be required to wear personal protective equipment when working in those type of environment.

    Wage: $38 to 50 an hour based on experience
