Hiring for Warehouse Worker in Taylor, MI.

Paying - $18.77/h.

Description:

Candidate will be working as a warehouse associate. It makes high end coffee machines.

The Warehouse Associate assists in the daily functions of the warehouse. This position is responsible for overseeing inspections of incoming goods and for overseeing all receiving and processing functions. Essentially, they handle all receiving in the warehouse. From maintaining 2-bin and consolidating ongoing warehouse parts, the Warehouse Specialist A must keep close tabs on all facets of warehouse operations. Additionally, this position is responsible for leading continuous improvement projects for the department.

Candidates will be working on a team of 6. Each person has their own position (shipping, packaging etc.) This person's sole purpose is to do the receiving portion of the warehouse.

JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:

❖ Responsible for all receiving

o Unloading all overseas containers and air shipments

o Unloading all domestic goods including but not limited to small parcel shipments

o Checking in and physically moving all inbound freight into assigned locations

o Receiving and processing all goods into ISAH with appropriate paperwork (packing slips, POD, etc.) with accurate locations and quantities

o Providing all receiving paperwork to accounting

❖ Responsible for incoming inspection of goods

o Checking and verifying the goods we receive (checking 1 box for verification of correct product and quantity)

o Checking for physical defects

o Checking technical functionality of parts according to AQL method

❖ Responsible for 2-Bin maintenance and checking of work from 2-Bin replenisher

❖ Responsible for ongoing part consolidation and warehouse and part organization

❖ Lead all continuous improvement projects

o Full warehouse re-organization (physical and ISAH) with accurate locations and quantities

o Part consolidation

o 2-Bin restructure

o Spare parts warehouse

o Etc.

POTENITAL SIDE DUTIES:

❖ Pack, wrap & ship machines as needed

❖ Replenishing 2-Bin as needed

❖ Replenishing production line for non-2-Bin parts

❖ Complete spare parts orders

❖ Ad hoc duties as assigned

**This is a fast-paced position

**This position involves a lot of multi-tasking

SHIFT:

Monday-Friday 7AM-3:30PM

Occasional OT, potential Saturdays (not very common)

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

MUST HAVES:

1). Ability to lift 50 pounds

1a). Candidates will be lifting up to 50 lbs roughly 5-10x per shift. They are also able to use pallet jacks and MHE when needed.

2). Ability to match part numbers

2a). Candidates need to be able to read a PO with a part number on it and match the numbers to the parts within DJD inventory.

3). Computer skills

3a). Candidates need to be able to utilize Excel (enter data into cells) and FedEx/UPS website

4). Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

4a). Candidates need to have experience with metric based performance jobs

5). Shipping & Receiving Experience

5a). Experience utilizing a FedEx/UPS system and creating labels for shipments.
