Job Summary: Provides a variety of individual services such as job development, training, testing and counseling services, utilizing a case management model to enable individuals who are economically disadvantaged, dislocated or have multiple employment barriers to find appropriate work. Essential Job Functions:

  • Shares information with appropriate staff and partner organizations.
  • Prepares, organizes and maintains documents and files of a complex and confidential nature. Compiles and files correspondence, records, documents, and reports according to an established system.
  • Exhibits professional customer service.
  • Provide case management and supportive services to program participants with the guidance and supervision of a staff mentor or supervisor for at least one of the following programs: Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Welfare Transition (WT), or other workforce programs.
  • Perform assessments and suitability for program services and will refer customers to appropriate programs, agencies and/or resources.
  • Perform eligibility screening for Adult and Dislocated Worker Programs, Work Based Training Programs Youth (In/Out of school).
  • Develop Individual Employment Plans (IEP), Individual Service Plans (ISS), and Individual Responsibility Plans (IRP) for supervisor or mentor review.
  • Properly and timely provide case notes of customer progress/events, scan appropriate documentation, and enter correct data into the Management Information Systems.
  • Maintain case files as directed to meet customer follow-up and compliance with federal, state, and local policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Conduct Quarterly Employment Follow-Ups to meet federal and state performance requirements.
  • engage employer placement contacts to assist customers with job placement, including job-search classes, labor market analysis and employment contacts.
  • Will demonstrate with a supervisor the learned skills.

Non-Essential Job Functions:

  • Perform duties of a Career Services Representative.
  • Assists Center associates with job fair activities and employment events for the Career and Service Center.
  • May complete required forms for WT Relocation services, Diversion, and Cash Assistance Severance processes for review and approval.
  • May develop and maintain contact with training providers, public and private business partners, partner organizations, and other community and faith-based organizations to share information and coordinate service delivery.
  • May conduct orientations and workshops.
  • May perform follow-ups and lift sanctions.
  • May provide Unemployment Compensation program claims filing assistance. Reports and maintains logs for services and repairs for the facility. Communicates with repair service vendors, contractors as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
