You will be responsible for:

  • Performs, supervises, assigns, and inspects work of maintenance

  • Determines materials, equipment, and supplies to be used

  • Maintains a current inventory

  • Inspects all major contract work

  • Coordinates, inspects, operates, and maintains the heating, cooling, and ventilation systems

  • General repairs

Qualifications

What will you need?

  • Computer skills required (Microsoft Word).

  • Exceptional organizational skill required.

  • Ability to have flexible work hours based on job assignment completion.

  • Needs to be extremely discreet due to access to sensitive items.

  • Needs to be self-motivated.

  • Knowledge of ordering parts and supplies related to building maintenance and repairs.

  • Ability to prioritize assignments.

  • Working knowledge of regulatory requirements from JCAHO, AHCA, OSHA, NFPA and other health care related agencies.

  • Air conditioning (Preferred)

  • Plumbing (Preferred)

  • Electrical (Preferred)

  • High School Diploma

  • 2 years’ experience in health care engineering OR (If Applicable): Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully accomplish the assigned duties and responsibilities of the position.

  • Associates Degree or Professional Certification in Related Fields (Preferred)

  • 5 years' experience in health care engineering (Preferred)

  • Valid Florida driver's license

  • OSHA's 40 hour Hazardous Waste and Operation (Preferred)

  • OSHA's 8 hour General Industry Certification (Preferred)
