Job Overview

TE Connectivity (TE) has an opportunity for an Automation Manufacturing Technology (AMT) Automation professional with strong technical and teamwork capabilities to establish global integrated automation platforms in a leading electrical component manufacturing company. The individual is responsible for ensuring the project is delivered on time and within budget. This role shall be responsible for promoting and introducing the ready-to-deploy technologies developed by AMT in other locations to TE Philippines locally. In addition, this role needs to work closely with AMT's other teammates to capture all values (TEBIT savings and or Revenue Impact) enabled by the AMT team and forecast/identify the high potential opportunities via effective communication with business unit customers, propose and recommend the priority to the innovation and application team.

This is a rare opportunity to join a high-performing organization in a new global role, reporting to the AMT Automation Application Director, who reports to the VP of Automation Manufacturing Technology, as part of the Global Operations Technology team. This role will be a focal point of TE global mass customized flexible modular automation with technical expertise on current leading edge and next-generation automation technologies. This position will have the responsibility for transferring various automation modular flexible platforms for production at TE manufacturing sites in the Philippines and worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Driving the value/savings realization by promoting AMT’s innovations, platforms, solutions, and knowledge and closely communicating with business units

  • To define the opportunities in the pipeline that will continuously address value/savings for manufacturing sites.

  • Leading the communications between BU customers and the technical team to ensure successful collaborations and finally address the target via each successful implementation.

  • Planning the activities/interactions (workshop/technical seminars) with BU manufacturing teams by highly aligning with AMT's strategic roadmap.

  • Supervising the budget plan, timing plan, resource plan, and time plan of each application project

  • Propose/recommend the priority to peers by deep understanding of manufacturing’s needs or expectations.

  • Defining project charter, writing the project management plan, directing & managing project work, managing project changes, developing the key project elements (budget, time, and resource) plan

  • Creating and monitoring the detailed executable project schedule

  • Managing well all communications with all stakeholders to secure the project closeout

What your background should look like:

  • A strong project management experience in manufacturing engineering, deep understanding or experience in the automation manufacturing platform/machine development and implementation.

  • At least 5 years, for a bachelor’s degree, or 2 years for a master’s degree, technical or project managing experiences in manufacturing automation with a detailed knowledge of current automation technologies for precision electromechanical manufacture and/ or optical system manufacture

  • Personal experience in successfully delivering the complete automation machine to the production site (meeting all KPIs)

  • Know-how of industrial robots, collaborative robots, electrical drivers, pneumatic actuators, machine vision, electrical control, etc. factory automation applications is desired.

  • Excellent organizing capability for global events/workshops with different cultural backgrounds participants.

  • Experienced in day-to-day activities and task management, monitoring, and communications.

  • Deep Knowledge of the operations KPIs and understanding how to address those goals by innovation on improvements.

  • Ability to communicate technical ideas, and vision and inspire people at every level to deliver and execute automation platforms of the Technology organization.

  • Experienced in matrix management with a track record of being able to follow, lead, and collaborate by influencing Technology activities across business units.

  • Good English communication skills including writing, speaking, and presenting.

  • PMP certification is a plus.
