Job Description: Warehouse Technician (Entry Level) – PM2

Job Summary: Will be an essential part of our warehouse operations, contributing to the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of goods. This role involves a variety of tasks ranging from inventory management to equipment operation. Your attention to detail, teamwork, and commitment to maintaining a well-organized warehouse environment will play a key role in the success of our logistics and supply chain operations.

Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

Receive, unpack, and verify incoming shipments.

Record and update inventory levels using computerized systems.

Assist in conducting regular cycle counts and periodic physical inventory checks.

Order Picking and Packing:

Pick products from shelves or bins based on order requirements.

Pack items securely, ensuring accurate labeling and documentation.

Material Handling:

Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.

Safely and efficiently move products within the warehouse.

Assist in loading and unloading trucks as needed.

Quality Control:

Conduct visual inspections of products for damages or defects.

Report any discrepancies or quality issues to supervisors.

Warehouse Organization:

Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse space.

Organize products on shelves and in designated storage areas.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Documentation and Record Keeping:

Complete necessary paperwork for shipping, receiving, and inventory transactions.

Generate and update records related to stock levels and warehouse activities.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with team members to achieve daily and weekly goals.

Communicate effectively with other departments and logistics partners.

Training and Development:

Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

Stay informed about warehouse procedures and best practices.

Adheres to and participates in all EHS practices and standards across the site, including but not limited to proactive reporting of observed hazards and recommendations to ensure the safety and wellbeing of self and others.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.

Ability to lift and move heavy objects, and operate material handling equipment.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
