Citigroup VP, AML Reporting, Insights, Integration - Integration, Governance and Control - Program & Strategy Lead (Hybrid) in Tampa, Florida

The AML Reporting, Insights and Integration (RII) function is responsible for providing overall second line credible challenge, governance and oversight of the regulatory obligations associated with suspicious activity reporting , client exit and account closure, regulatory transaction reporting, name screening and other AML obligations within Citi globally. The Integration, Governance and Control (ISG) - Program & Strategy sub-function within RII handles many of the risk programs that are associated with the function overall - including MCA, Audit & Issue Management, Forum Governance, Procedure & Training oversight, and other more holistic oversight.

The RII ISG-Program & Strategy Lead is a senior professional level role responsible for establishing internal procedures to prevent money laundering and assist in all matters concerning financial crimes in coordination with the broader Anti-Money Laundering (AML) team. The overall objective is to utilize established disciplinary knowledge to identify inconsistencies in data or result and formulate strategic recommendations on policies, procedures, and practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, enhance and implement best -in-class AML Compliance policies and practices.

  • Provide expert advice on AML Compliance policies to the AML/Financial Crime Support teams and the business.

  • Perform AML Compliance quality and testing, evaluate process deficiencies, analyze control measures, enhance reporting capabilities and recommend corrective actions while satisfying regulatory and audit commitments. Further, assess and identify emerging risks and recommend / drive program enhancements.

  • Evaluate and respond to escalated matters; further escalate unusual activity as needed. Advise senior management on next steps.

  • Create, develop and deliver relevant training to business and functional partners.

  • Additional duties as assigned.

  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.

  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.

  • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years relevant experience

  • AML Certification

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

  • Self-motivated and detail oriented

  • Advanced analytical skills Ability to both work independently and collaborate with team members

  • Proficient in Excel and Word – ability to learn multiple system applications quickly

Education:

  • Bachelors (4 Year University) Degree or equivalent experience required

  • Advanced (MS, MBA, JD, etc) Degree preferred
