Citigroup Services Senior Architect - VP / Tampa, FL (hybrid) in Tampa, Florida

The Services Senior Architect is a senior level position responsible for managing the various Architecture Governance processes as defined by EAP and Services and providing high & low-level designs for new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Services Technology teams. The overall objectives of this role are:

  1. To be a subject-matter expert in the various architecture governance processes Services are required to follow as part of sector operating procedures (CSI, CTC, ARB, CAR, AI/ML etc) and to run these on a day-to-day basis.

  2. To lead applications systems analysis, provide designs and co-ordinate architecture governance activities.

The Services Architecture team is also involved in a number of cross Line-of-Business activities, and the architect is expected to participate in these strategic exercises.

Responsibilities:

  • Play a key role in driving the Services Architecture governance processes, both those cascaded from SMB Architecture, and those that are Services-specific. This would involve day to day governance adminitration, and ensuring the governance processes were followed correctly.

  • Play a key role in assimilating data for, and creating reports on governance functions

  • Act as a governance Subject Matter Expert, and be able to coach Services teams on the correct process to folow for CSI / CTC registration & maintenance, Permits Process, CART process, AI/ML attestations etc.

  • Partner with Application Teams across Services to lead resolution of a variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards

  • Act a subject matter expert on one or more areas of database design, big data, cloud deployment, microservices, integration and has advanced knowledge of applications programming and can ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint for Services

  • Can guide Services App teams’ development pipelines with advanced knowledge of system flow and development standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation

  • Be able to take a hands-on lead role in application / tool low-level design & coding, including working with DevOps pipelines. This skill is required to provide hands-on assistance to application teams with PoCs, Pilots etc

  • Can demonstrate ability to develop a comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals

  • Partner with Application teams to provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions

  • Serve as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • Must have relevant experience in Apps Development or Architect role

  • Good experience with Enterprise Architecture Governance processes

  • Extensive experience system analysis and in programming of software applications

  • Past experience in managing and implementing successful projects

  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development (database design, big data, cloud deployment, microservices, integration)

  • Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

$113,840.00 - $170,760.00
