Centene Corporation Senior Manager, Contract Management in TAMPA, Florida

Position Purpose: Drives compliance and strategies related to the terms and regulations of provider network agreements for the enterprise. Serves as subject matter expert on provider agreement templates and terms. Acts as advisor to health plans on language changes and impacts. Partners with management team on tactical and strategic initiatives of the contracting process.

  • Oversees the development of policies and processes that govern the contract management team and provide guidance on contract terms and the assessment of contract proposals

  • Exhibits extensive knowledge of provider contracting and contract provisions

  • Manages the proposals, negotiation and administration of contracts that comply with company policies and legal requirements

  • Manages the delivery of contract administration services and processes and ensures compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards

  • Escalates issue requiring legal input promptly

  • Problem solve and assist health plans in developing new strategies

  • Works with senior leadership on negotiations for complex or high-value contracts

  • Mentors contract management team members to develop tactical career development plan to decrease attrition

  • Manages and reviews the latest training materials and/or programs for the contract management team development and updates to ensure adequate training and quality standards

  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Complies with all policies and standards

Education/Experience: Requires a Bachelor's degree, paralegal or JD desirable and 6+ years of related experience, including prior management experience.

Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position. Previous experience conducting evaluations of provider agreements and/or an individual with a background in provider contracting highly preferred. Ideal candidate should have demonstrated abilities of strategic thinking and planning.

3+ years management experience preferred.

Pay Range: $98,900.00 - $183,100.00 per year

Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
