Jacobs Mid Security Specialist (INFOSEC) in Tampa, Florida

Your Impact: This position with Jacobs is to support the United States Central Command J2 Directorate through the SSO. Your security expertise will be vital to the operations and security of the command. You will witness the impact of your work through the completion of contractual deliverables to the customer.

Responsibilities: The employee shall provide multi-discipline Security Specialists to provide support to the USCENTCOM Special Security Office (CCJ2-SSO) in managing the Command Information Security, Personnel Security, and Physical Security Programs. The employee shall brief and train proper command security practices for the Command Security Indoctrination briefings to promote Security Education, Training & Awareness (SETA). The employee shall update local security publications as required, consistent with DoD/DIA guidance. The employee shall provide input into CENTCOM history reports and maintain the SSO webpage. The employee shall inspect and draft written feedback in support of the Command Inspection Program. The employee shall coordinate, track, document, brief, train and issue courier authorization in support of the Courier Authorization Program. The employee shall coordinate with customers and Defense Courier Service staff for the delivery and pickup of classified material and provide SME guidance for forward deployed units.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly

  • Five or more years of experience as a Security Professional or Associate’s Degree

  • Security Fundamentals Professional Certification

  • Expertise using JPAS, Scattered Castles, CATS, DISS

  • Experience in INFOSEC

Preferred:

  • Hard working professional with the ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an enthusiasm for in working in a highly-collaborative setting – sharing best practices, lessons learned, and assisting where gaps exist.

  • Strong briefing skills.
