The selected candidate will be working for the National Accounts department within M.C. Dean. You will be responsible for electrical lighting maintenance scope which will include changing bulbs, ballasts, and drivers on existing lighting fixtures. You will be working from aerial lifts in most cases and be a direct interface with our customers. You will be dispatched daily to customers and be responsible for resolving the customers lighting problems in the highest professional and safe manner. You will complete all site documentation on an electronic device which will require knowledge of current smart phone / personal tablet technology. The selected candidate will be of strong moral character and understand that they will be representing the world's best service provider. Therefore, you will present yourself in a clean and professional manor at all times, with a primary focus on customer satisfaction, quality and safety.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic lighting components.

  2. Installing and mounting lighting controls, devices, sensors, and components.

  3. Safe operation of aerial lifts and bucket trucks.

  4. Testing lighting systems and continuity of circuits in fixtures, using testing devices.

  5. Inspecting installation sites and studying work orders, building plans, and installation manuals in order to determine materials requirements and installation procedures.

  6. Diagnosing malfunctioning lighting systems and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.

  7. Reading contract drawings.

  8. Trouble shooting EMS systems, smart breakers, and relays.

Qualifications / Skills Sets / Expectations:

  1. High School Diploma or GED with at least 1 year of related experience.

  2. Reliable Transportation

  3. Must successfully pass a background check and drug test

  4. Must be committed to excellence and generate high quality work.

  5. Must consistently report to work on time, work well with other employees to accomplish a common goal, and maintain a safe work environment.

Optional but preferred:

  1. OHSA 10

  2. Any other relevant certifications (ex. Lift / Ariel Training)

Abilities:

  1. Lifts at least 100 pounds at one time and 60 pounds for an extended period of time.

  2. Relocates a 12 foot stepladder without assistance.

  3. Works at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks and all types of ladders.

  4. Walks, climbs, lifts, squats, crawls, kneels, pushes, pulls and reaches overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.

  5. Possess good vision (may be corrected vision), the ability to see in color, and the ability to hear and communicate in English.

  6. May use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools.

  7. Tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem.

  8. Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.

  9. Combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (including finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events).

  10. See details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).

  11. Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
