The Head of Global Learning Operations and Experience is responsible for driving both strategic direction and operational excellence in delivering extraordinary learning experiences. This role leads a team that is responsible for orchestrating the logistical aspects of enterprise-wide and business specific learning programs including virtual and in-person courses, coordinating learning supplier relationships, and ensuring the flawless execution of programs from setup through delivery. The Learning Operations team is accountable for the ongoing management of J&J Learn onsite learning and development programs and J&J Learn operations in strategic global locations in all regions. In addition, this team oversees the site operations for the Orlando campus.

In addition to operational execution, this position oversees Global Experience Leaders accountable for developing the strategy, design and execution of learner experience across all aspects of learning service delivery. This leader will be accountable for looking across the learn ecosystem and experiences and ensure human centric thinking in design and execution.

The Head of Global Learning Operations and Experience will need to blend a high level of operational and execution excellence with strategic insights and leadership to help shape the learning and development experience at Johnson & Johnson. This role sits on the Learn Global Service Center leadership team and the Learn Practice Areas Leadership team.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Provide leadership in developing and implementing the global learning operations strategy aligned with the key operational and talent priorities

  • Operational Excellence: Responsible for all logistical aspects of virtual and in-person courses, ensuring smooth execution and delivery of learning programs and delivering on key performance indicators for Efficiency, Effectiveness, and Learner Experience

  • Strategic Program Enablement: Accountable for annual forecasting of ILT/VILT programs for Learn, ensuring that operational plans and resources align with established targets.

  • Site Excellence: Responsible for formulating the strategy and criteria for site excellence, as well as identifying, implementing, and integrating a comprehensive global site excellence plan.

  • Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with external vendors, supervising purchase order and spend management, and key performance indicators in performance to meet learning program needs.

  • Virtual Learning Production: Build and communicate service strategy, technology and service roadmaps, lead global deployments and support model, continual improvement of user experience, technology lifecycle management, and operational budget for both Collaboration and Virtual Meeting services.

  • Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing global learning operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

  • Budget Management: Develop and lead the organizational budget, optimizing resource allocation to achieve cost-effective learning operations.

  • Quality Assurance: Establish and monitor quality assurance processes to maintain the highest standards in service delivery and value.

  • Operational Metrics: Monitor and analyze key metrics to drive process improvements and provide actionable recommendations to executive leadership.

  • Technology Integration: Identify and implement technology solutions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of learning operations.

  • Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as J&J Learn Practice Areas, J&J Learn Leadership, Learning Strategy, Sector and Function Learning Leaders IT, and Compliance, to align learning operations with broader organizational goals. Serve as a subject matter authority in Learning Operations providing consultation and leadership across the enterprise.

  • Innovation & Industry: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging learning technologies to keep our learning programs competitive and cutting-edge.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) or Equivalent is required

  • 10+ years progressive experience in global operations, preferably in event or learning/training program management required.

  • At least 3 years of people management experience Required.

  • Must work the majority of Eastern Time Zone business hours.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrates extensive leadership skills and experience with an ability to set a vision, lead change, coach and mentor others. Preferably on a global scale.

  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with ability to lead, interact with, focus, resolve conflict and drive consensus globally among cross functional partners.

  • Strong ability to influence decisions and drive consensus.

  • Excellent project, people and budget management skills in the areas of training, planning, prioritization, objective setting, meeting management and plan execution.

  • Must also demonstrate experience in content creation, maintenance of training processes, and the successful development of ongoing training and development programs

  • Ability to be flexible and to work under changing requirements and priorities

  • Uncompromising commitment to client and customer satisfaction

  • Can operate as an agile global leader with understanding and appreciation for regional differences

The base pay range for this position is $142,000 - $244,950

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs.  Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan.  The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year.  Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
