  • 3-day workweek (12 hour shifts) – Sunday, Monday, Thursday

  • 4pm-5pm start time

    All schedules subject to change based on business needs

    POSITION OVERVIEW

    Incumbent is responsible for transporting and delivering trailers of freight to applicable transportation hubs or alternate designated drop locations safely, legally and on-time. This position requires working in environments with variation in temperature and humidity due to chang ing outdoor weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operates a tractor trailer truck that transports frozen, cooler and dry cargo to and from various DC and hub locations.

  • Prepares, receives and provides appropriate documentation for the delivery of products.

  • Maintains logs of travel and cargo according to Federal and State DOT and Motor Carrier regulations.

  • Must be able to utilize and understand an on-board computer system (ie PeopleNet).

  • Maintains contact with the Operations department to effectively and professionally communicate any problems or delays.

  • Responsible for the cleanliness and presentation of the vehicle. Also responsible for the removal of trash at the store that was caused by the delivery (shrink wrap, cardboard, pallets)

  • Responsible for reporting any vehicle maintenance or malfunction issues.

Qualifications

  • CDL Class A License Required

  • Must have a valid DOT Medical examination card

  • Must have a clean motor vehicle record (MVR) in accordance with DCP guidelines for hiring.

  • Must have at least 2 years driving back to back experience with a Class A license

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Strong oral and written communications skills

  • PC Literate

  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills

  • Strong Team Player

  • Decision Making Skills

  • Flexible to varying work schedules

  • On Board Computer System Experience (People Net preferred)

  • Must be able to drive a 10 speed transmission
