ICP Group Demand Planner in Tampa, Florida

ICP Group is seeking a proactive and results-oriented Demand Planner to join our team.  This position is responsible for supporting the demand planning activities of the ICP Business Solutions Group.  The role is data-intensive, requiring the ability to handle extensive amounts of information.  The Distribution Planner is key to putting the demand plan into action – taking analysis & data provided by the Distribution Manager and updating the ERP system so that MRP provides a thorough and effective solution to business requirements.  The Distribution Planner will “connect the dots” between ICP warehouses, initiating and executing Transfer Orders to move inventory from one location to another.  This position is accountable to assist the Distribution Manager to ensure that the ERP system is updated in a timely manner and used by ICP warehouses correctly. 

Responsibilities :

  • Collaborate with Distribution Manager to put demand forecasts into action

  • Upload / update inventory reorder quantities in ERP system per demand & distribution plan

  • Upload / update defined customer lead times in ERP system

  • Use existing tools to refine inventory allocations across BSG warehouse network

  • Use MRP to create intra-company transfer orders

  • Monitor transfer orders to ensure timely closure and inventory updated

  • Monitor transfer order frequency and track adherence to shipping schedule metrics

  • Periodic reconciliation of eCommerce inventory

  • Ad-hoc analysis of supply chain data

    Experience needed:

  • 4-year college degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or associated discipline

  • Familiarity with ERP software in a manufacturing environment, experience with Syspro a plus

  • Familiarity with MRP fundamentals, recognizes push/pull nature of demand planning

  • MS Excel “pro” – expertise in worksheet functions, able to combine multiple data sets, experience with VBA a plus

  • MS Access “novice” – can create tables and develop simple queries

  • Strong human relations skills and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence others and drive change for continuous improvement efforts

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze data for sound decision making

  • Flexibility to travel occasionally to other ICP domestic locations
