The Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated Brand Manager Senior for our San Antonio office to serve as the primary liaison between the Business and Marketing.
This position is a hybrid work type and can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX; Plano, TX; Phoenix, AZ; Charlotte, NC; Colorado Springs, CO or Tampa, FL. Hybrid roles help employees gain the best of both worlds – collaborating in-person in the office and working from home when needed to achieve focused results.
Participates, facilitates, and leads cross-functional teams supporting the interaction between Business Partners and Marketing on marketing activities. Responsible for the development and on-going management of the marketing plan in close partnership with product management and the distribution channels. Responsible for the development of go-to-market strategies with a focus on performance marketing and the articulation of data driven insights.
What you'll do:
Identifies and manages existing and emerging risks that stem from business activities and the job role.
Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled.
Follows written risk and compliance policies, standards, and procedures for business activities.
Client Relationship Management:
Facilitates all interaction points between Business Partners and Marketing for marketing, sales and service activities.
Develops and manages collaborative relationships with Business Partners and Marketing.
Assists in the integration of cross-functional collaboration and innovations by supplying knowledge between Business Partners and Marketing.
Monitors the execution and follow through of decisions reached between Business Partners and Marketing.
Provides status updates to stakeholders.
May provide additional support, including performance analysis and communications, to key stakeholders, including USAA Board and Senior leadership.
Marketing and Sales Plans:
Contributes to the development of Annual Plans (and related go-to-market plans).
Leads the delivery of the go-to-market plan components to Business Partners.
May contribute to the cost benefit analysis of Marketing.
Contributes to the development of the Marketing budget.
Manages assigned Marketing budget/s.
Facilitates program level reporting of select initiatives to the business partners.
What you have:
Bachelor’s degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
6 or more years of experience in marketing, sales, product, or project management.
Experience influencing cross-functional teams and business decisions.
Solid program and/or project management skills.
Experience with financials, general understanding of key business drivers and the supporting financials.
Experience developing strategies; and translating those strategies into tactics.
Demonstrated success in relationship building.
Experience managing budgets.
What sets you apart:
4 or more years of experience marketing Life Insurance products and/or Health products
Significant experience as a performance marketer using data and analytics daily to develop and optimize marketing programs
High emotional IQ with the ability to adapt easily to change
Ability to be diplomatically persuasive across a highly matrixed organization
Strong executive presentation skills, with a strong focus on delivering data driven insights
Intellectually curious and motivated by solving challenges at both the strategic and tactical level

What we offer:
Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to
ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location. The salary range for this position is: $86,520 - $122,470 .
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
