EMSL Analytical Inc. Assistant Laboratory Manager in Tampa, Florida
EMSL is seeking an Assistant Laboratory Manager in Tampa, FL. This role will include both analytical and supervisory responsibilities. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Prepare environmental samples prior to analysis for Asbestos Air and Bulk Sample Prep and Microbiology sample prep and any areas of prep related to client workAssist with cleaning and maintenance of lab equipmentSubmit all QC data reports on a monthly as directed. Ensures that the laboratory maintains compliance with the policies and procedures documented in theReceive environmental samples and enter Chain of Custody into LIMS systemAnalyzes and resolves, or assists workers in solving analytical problems.Accept shipping and handling items received by the laboratory from clientsAssist with high volume customer service client questions via in person, phone, and e-mailOther laboratory and administrative duties such as filing, faxing, copying may be assigned by lab staff and manager as neededAdditional duties may be assigned by Laboratory Manager, Regional Manager and or Senior ManagementRequirements:Bachelors of Science in Life Science Previous laboratory management or supervisor experience is preferred Experience in an environmental commercial lab Minimum three to five years work of hands on laboratory experience Candidate must be able to distinguish colors in order to perform analysisKnowledge of NLVAP and ISO 17025 procedures is a plusQA/QC experience in lab settingAbility to work independently and with a teamGood communication, computer, typing, and organizational skills.Proficient in MS Office especially EXCEL and typingExcellent customer service skills customer service experience is a plusAbility to work in a fast-paced setting, multi-task, and prioritize assignmentsTravel may be required for training purposesAvailable Shift:Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturdays as needed to meet business demandsEMSL offers full time benefits: medical, dental, 401(k), voluntary benefits, paid time off, holiday pay and a flexible spending accountTo find out more about EMSL Analytical, Inc. please visit our website at: www.emsl.com EOE including Veterans and Disabled
