Citigroup Applications Support Senior Analyst in Tampa, Florida

Citibank, N.A. seeks an Applications Support Senior Analyst for its Tampa, FL location.

Duties: Provide technical and business support for users of Citi Applications. Provide quick resolutions to app issues, driving stability, efficiency, and effectiveness improvements to help us and the business succeed. Maintain application systems that have completed the development stage and are running in the daily operations of the firm. Maintain and support applications and their operating environments, focusing on stability, quality, and functionality against service level expectations. Conduct start of day checks, continuous monitoring, and regional handover. Perform same day risk reconciliations. Develop and maintain technical support documentation. Identify ways to maximize the potential of the applications used. Assess risk and impact of production issues and escalate to business and technology management in a timely manner. Ensure that storage and archiving procedures are in place and functioning correctly. Formulate and define scope and objectives for complex application enhancements and problem resolution. Review and develop application contingency planning to ensure availability to users. Partner with appropriate development and production support areas to prioritize bug fixes and support tooling requirements. Participate in application releases, from development, testing and deployment into production. Engage in post implementation analysis to ensure successful system design and functionality. Consider implications of the application of technology to the current environment. Identify risks, vulnerabilities, and security issues; communicate impact. Ensure essential procedures are followed and help to define operating standards and processes. Act as a liaison between users/traders, interfacing internal technology groups and vendors. Raise problems to appropriate technology and business teams, while adhering to Service Level Agreements. Provide evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual information in complicated and unique situations. Actively participate in Support Project items, covering Stability, Efficiency, and Effectiveness initiatives. Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policy.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Engineering, Science, Technology, Mathematics, or a related field, and five (5) years of experience in the job offered, or in a related occupation in the IT industry. Five (5) years of experience must include: Monitoring system health using various system monitoring tools including ITRS Geneos; Managing technical incidents and alerts throughout their life cycle including detecting, raising tickets, sending communications, coordinating with different groups, resolving the incident and performing post incident analysis; Creating bespoke SQL scripts to run adhoc reports and update data to resolve IT incidents on databases including DB2, Oracle and non-SQL DBs including MongoDB; Analyzing system trends including system usage, disk usage, and performance to proactively identify issues and mitigate them before impact by creating windows / unix scripts to feed data to ITRS and/or create dashboards on Kibana and Splunk; Using ITSM to identify tactical (short term) & strategic (long term) fixes & monitoring improvement ideas to improve system stability and availability; and Diagnosing and resolving complex application issues by thoroughly investigating components logs using Shell script and querying DB using SQL. 40 hrs./wk.
