Position Description: The Maintenance Team Leader is responsible for leading the Maintenance Technicians group assigned to the Maintenance Department providing any required training, solving any issue, and ensuring the proper development of the team members. Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor Scope of Responsibility: * Communicating goals and deadlines to team members. * Planning workloads and delegating tasks. * Creating a productive work environment for the team using gamification, trust, and other appropriate strategies. * Establishes work procedures and standards to improve efficiency and effectiveness for the Maintenance Team. * Responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repair and maintaining production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and preventive maintenance systems, and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives. * Will also coordinate, organize, and actively participate in daily maintenance activities while leading other maintenance technicians. * Some of the activities are preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment (mechanical or electrical), equipment installation, among others. * Oversees work of assigned maintenance team employees. * Addresses minor discipline problems with team members; refers more serious cases to maintenance supervisor. * Works with maintenance supervisor/planner to plan work priorities, obtain necessary supplies, and assess skills needed to complete tasks. * Collaborate with team members to discuss upcoming work assignments; delegates assignments based on team members skills and experience. * Ensure maintenance and repair work is completely safe, effective, and in a timely manner. * Inspects work performed by team members. * Tracks and logs workers time on CMMS, materials, and other resources used for inventory purposes. * Track history of downtime, spare parts, team performance utilizing the CMMS. * Monitor and maintain inventory levels of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment; recommending for purchase if needed. * Monitor and maintain inventory levels of spare parts; recommending for purchase if needed. * Ability to identify issues and to determine repairs that are needed. * Work with team improving the safety culture and continuous improvement culture. * Performs all other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor and/or GM of Maintenance. Skills and Qualifications: We seek detailoriented, independent selfstarters who demonstrate an unwavering commitment to raising grow achievement and who have a record of high performance in challenging situations. Successful candidates will also demonstrate: * High School diploma or GED. Vocational school or technical certifications strongly preferred. * Experience in a technical leadership role. * At least 5 years of industrial maintenance experience. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. * 3 or more years of relevant experience in manufacturing/facility maintenance performing troubleshooting, diagnosing and repair in areas of electrical and mechanical disciplines. * Ability to motivate employees, drive change, and sustain results. * Strong teamwork skills and a willingness to achieve shared goals. * Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. * Excellent organizational and time management skills. * Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Proficient in all Microsoft office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). * Knowledgeable in technical drawings and schematics. * Experience working with a CMMS. * Commitment to work overtime as needed.   Physical Involvement: Standing, walking, reaching, bending, and lifting up to fifty (50) pounds is sometimes required.  Must possess mobility skills necessary to access a variety of work areas. Compensation: Whirlwind Steel Buildings offers a competitive wage that is commensurable with experience. Schedule: * Night Shift * 3:00pm – 1:30am * Monday – Friday * Saturday and Sunday as needed. * Limited overtime available.
