Job Description

Events and Promotions Coordinator specializing in collegiate food service. Skilled in planning, promoting, and executing events that enhance student dining experiences and drive sales. Strong communicator with a knack for creative problem-solving and budget management. Dedicated to delivering memorable events that foster community engagement.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the planning, promotion, and execution of Seminole Dining events.

  • These include events within residential dining halls (2) and retail locations (28+) to promote the student experience, meal plan sales retention, and to drive sales and promotions within designated locations.

  • Their duties include meeting with staff at the venue location to plan, leading team members with set-up and take down, running errands for supplies and decorations, and working with staff to ensure the completion of a successful event.

  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with Seminole Dining venues as well as on campus and community partners.

  • Planning event details and aspects, including interactive activities, decorations, and collaborating with our culinary team for themed foods.

  • Creating reliable financial reporting for event purchasing to determine ROI for individual and semesterly events.

  • Managing events and addressing potential problems that may arise

  • Planning for potential scenarios that could impact the integrity of the event. Anticipating needs of the event, space, and audience.

  • Maintaining a working knowledge of the complex needs of a wide variety of events.

Qualifications

· High school diploma required

· Experience, professional or voluntary, with event planning. Please provide examples in interview.

· Communication and Interpersonal Skills

· Knowledge/experience in budgeting

· Creative thinking

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
