Job Summary:

The Laboratory Enablement role enables denture quality, laboratory efficiency and profitability, through management of our people strategies from talent, coaching, and development planning. Partners with Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, Lab Optimization and Field Leadership to build strong sustainable Laboratory talent supporting Aspen’s aggressive expansion goals.

Essential Functions, Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Coaches and develops Laboratory Technicians to meet and exceed denture quality, productivity, and efficiency standards for assigned laboratory field teams to optimize denture profitability using existing resources and leveraging technical experts.

  • Provides visibility and tracking to assigned Division leaders to ensure all laboratory training protocols and procedures are implemented and followed to standard.

  • Responsible for ensuring trainees are set up for success in their training offices, and that they are supported throughout their training program to graduate within the allocated timeframe.

  • Partners with Field Operations (Directors) to develop strategy and partnership between RMs and POD leaders to facilitate collaboration and peer support among lab technicians within each region.

  • Partners with Field Operations (RMs) to identify, validate and support POD leaders to ensure coverage in every region in assigned market.

  • Partners with the Field Operations and POD leaders to coach and counsel laboratory Technicians to optimize and standardize field laboratory performance.

  • Directs POD Leaders to monitor and assess Laboratory Technicians enrolled in the Aspen Dental Lab training program.

  • Partners with the Field Operations and Lab Optimization to support pilot initiatives.

  • Aligns to the Talent Acquisition and Field Operations operating model to ensure Lab Tech Trainer talent bench.

  • Assess Lab Tech performance across the network to create individual development plans in partnership with Field Operations and POD leaders.

  • Partners with the DVP to create field laboratory succession plans thereby providing ready talent for our expanding laboratory field teams.

  • Build strong sustainable talent ready Laboratory field teams.

  • Supports Field Operations in the adoption and expansion of AspenLabs.

  • Ability to lead initiatives and drive change within the lab organization.

  • When applicable attends Dental Technical Trade shows and Dental Technology Training Programs to attract laboratory talent.

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Experience, Skills & Abilities (i.e., technical, knowledge, etc.):

  • Dental lab / denture experience required

  • 5-8 years of experience in a fast paced environment.

  • Experience managing multiple locations

  • Ability to travel extensively within assigned market.

  • Flexible verbal and written communication skills to connect with both the lab technicians as well as Field Leadership as needed

  • Highly organized and proactive, taking accountability and ownership of lab success in assigned market

  • The ability to balance multiple, high priorities initiatives simultaneously

Travel Percentage:

60% - Travel throughout the East Coast.
