General Summary

This position’s responsibilities include developing, maintaining, upgrading, and supporting custom in-house applications using tools and languages such as Microsoft VisualStudio, .Net, JavaScript, SQL, HTML, and CSS. Responsibilities also include application testing and debugging, diagnosing and solving technical problems, and updating user documentation when necessary.

Examples of Work Performed

  • Assists in developing, preparing, applying, and executing computer audit software for use computer-assisted audit techniques (CAATs) procedures.

  • Loads auditee data to server or mainframe as appropriate.

  • Completes requests, i.e., samples, detail lists, and range reports.

  • Submits output to auditor via electronic mail, spreadsheets or other appropriate medium.

  • Documents the entire process, reconciliation, requests, and programs for future use.

  • Assists in changing or creating job streams and the documentation to support those job streams.

  • Assists in analyzing and researching user queries and operational problems with assigned applications.

  • Assists in developing and maintaining end-user operating manuals.

  • Assists in designing and developing specifications for new data processing applications and for enhancements to existing components.

  • Assists in developing, debugging, enhancing, and modifying program code based on program specifications.

  • Assists in developing procedures for testing systems and debugging programs and preparing and conducting systems tests.

  • Assists in preparing file changes based on program specifications.

  • Assists in preparing documentation of programs and systems flow charts, narratives, test data, report formats, schedules, and job work flow.

  • Attends and participates in system walk-through sessions.

  • Performs other related duties as required.

  • Knowledge of statistical applications and/or the principles, practices, and techniques of computer programming and analysis

    Minimum Qualifications (required)

    A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in accounting, one of the computer sciences, management information systems, or statistics; or

    A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, and two years of relevant professional experience; or

    Six years of relevant professional experience.

    All Information Technology Audit Analyst positions are located in Tallahassee, Florida.

    Salary

    The minimum salary for IT Audit Analyst is $38,220.
