Intermountain Health Intelligent Automation (RPA) Analyst in Tallahassee, Florida

Job Description:

As an Intelligent Automation Analyst within the Intelligent Automation Center of Enablement, you will collaborate with business subject matter experts, IT partners, and support teams within Intermountain Healthcare to scope, prepare, and consult on the execution and implementation of a spectrum of automation solutions—from robotic process automation (RPA) to advanced automation driven by generative artificial intelligence. This role plays a key part in Intermountain Healthcare’s automation strategy that will drive business and clinical performance gains and improved outcomes.

This role is particularly compelling because of the variety of the types of processes being automated. Accelerating digital transformation for the future of work is paramount. This is evidenced by our growing use of advanced intelligent automation technologies including GenAI/ML enabled digital workers and assistants, computer vision, NLP and NLG, and chat bot automation products. Incumbents will be designing custom hyper-automation solutions across the enterprise for both business services (HR, Finance, Revenue Cycle, Supply Chain, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, etc.) and clinical services (Telehealth, Lab, Nursing, Environmental Services, Electronic Health Record, etc.). There are frequent opportunities to learn new skills and work with a diverse set of caregivers across the entire organization.

Job Essentials:

Works closely with business and clinical partners to analyze business needs, define automation solutions, and coordinate with automation developers to clearly document implementation plans. Collaborates with business SMEs to identify, interpret, and document business processes and requirements in the form of workflows, design documents, and both high-level and detailed user stories and acceptance criteria. Analyzes and tests existing systems for compatibility with preferred automation platforms. Develops recommendations for process and system improvements that assist the business in achieving its goals and objectives, leveraging best practices and professional experience. Develops basic RPA solutions using standard automations toolsets such as Power Automate. Participates and as assigned leads some efforts to create and manage project plans for automation projects with moderate complexity. Consistently meets agreed upon deadlines or escalates issues, concerns, and barriers to key project leaders. Assists and as assigned leads the prioritization of tasks/assignments. Supports automation benefits value identification in conjunction with subject matter experts (SMEs), analytics teams, and IT reporting teams. Supports the creation, management, and prioritization for the backlog of automation projects. Supports the planning of an automation roadmap in collaboration with product, technology, and SMEs considering the organization’s vision and goals. Maintains knowledge of current and upcoming automation technologies and leading practices. Collaborates with key stakeholders in the development of automation training and knowledge-based materials and in training peers, end-users, other IS team members, and citizen developers of automation.

Minimum Qualifications

Must meet one of the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in an information technology related field.OR:

  • Four years of equivalent information technology, clinical, or healthcare insurance experience

PLUS:

  • Three years’ experience providing business analyst or similar support

  • Previous experience with automation projects, concepts, and tools

  • A supportive nature and desire to move projects forward

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and synthesizing skills

  • Confident and effective verbal and written communication across all levels of technical and business experience

  • Ability to balance needs of many concurrent projects and work effectively with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project management experience

  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies

  • Experience using Power Automate or Power Apps

  • Knowledge and use of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs)

  • Using generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Gemini, etc.

  • Understanding of Machine Learning concepts and capabilities

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
