Overview

Are you an experienced Production Supervisor looking to make an impact at a growing, dynamic Tier 1 Honda supplier? Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Production Supervisor to lead their team across split shifts, ensuring smooth operations, quality production, and high standards of safety.

This is a direct hire position.

Schedule

Monday - Friday 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM; Saturdays as scheduled; Overtime required as needed

Compensation

This position has a base salary of around $58,000 + additional comp weekly

Description

Responsible for production operations, while supporting quality and materials through the achievement of SQCDM and ensuring that the core values and policies of the company are maintained without compromise.

Tasks of the Position

  • Support Health and Safety efforts to promote zero tolerance for unsafe acts and conditions.
  • Provide clear direction and establish accountability.
  • Promote a team environment to supervise all aspects of production operations in the achievement of plant goals.
  • Develop Team Leaders and associates through training and guidance.
  • Maintain communication and continuity among production operations.
  • Utilize Lean principles to develop and implement countermeasures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of products and services.
  • Achieve daily OEE goals, meet, or exceed QOS performance goals via efficient manpower utilization.
  • Maintain accurate and timely production records.
  • Maintain daily attendance records using the current payroll vendor.
  • Provide scheduled performance reviews.
  • Provide Human Resources with written documentation for disciplinary action.
  • Lead, participate, and support Continuous Improvement activities including, 5S, Kaizen, Quick Hits, Six Sigma, and other related Continuous Improvement events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Supervise several tasks and projects at any given time.
  • Possess strong organizational, priority/time management, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and judgment skills.
  • Speak effectively before groups of customers or associates.
  • Communicate problems involving complex and confidential situations to plant Human Resources and always seek guidance and direction.
  • Ability to effectively demonstrate written communication skills to compose and edit written materials, reports, and correspondence.
  • Ability to interpret safety rules, customer schedules, operations standards, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to use data to drive decision-making.
  • Knowledge of computer systems; familiar with Microsoft Office products.
  • Must build and sustain positive communication with customers, suppliers, company peers, and associates.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Hands-on and working knowledge required of each station/area on assigned shift.

Job Requirements

  • Safety apparel (PPE) and uniform are mandatory.
  • Must be able to continuously lift 30 to 75 lbs. and occasionally carry 30 to 50 feet.
  • Tasks that require continuous reaching, kneeling, grasping, twisting, bending, leaning, and extension of the upper body.
  • Perform job requirements of a Production Associate as needed.
  • Work daily assigned shift to include overtime, up to and including production Saturdays, shutdown days, and holidays as needed.
  • Supervise and support all company policies including ISO 9001 2008/ISO 14000 and QOS adherence (where applicable) and the company's Handbook and Safety Manual.

Supervisory Responsibility

Provide leadership and teaching to Team Leaders and associates within their assigned area of production. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and procedur s.

Education and Experience

Associate degree preferred or 5 to 8 years of related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
