We are inviting you to join the Mobile Experiences & Platform Team (MXP) . The Mobile Experiences & Platform Team (MXP) is building the future. We are a world class platform, middleware, apps, and services organization that brings end-to-end experiences to life on a diverse range of products, empowering customers through powerful connections to Windows, M365, and Azure across the devices they use.

Our team collaborates with software developers, QA engineers, designers, PM (Product Manager), and various industry partners to create innovative services and experiences. We design and implement security software components on the Microsoft Device Ecosystem Platform (MDEP) to protect the devices and their users’ data, as well as the security of remote services access.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Android security features, applications, and frameworks using Java, Kotlin, C/C++, and other technologies.

  • Work across a team of high impact individuals on drivers, Tools, Linux Kernel, Trusted application, and Android Framework and services.

  • Collaborate with other developers, testers, product managers, and security experts to ensure the quality, performance, and security of the Android platform and applications.

  • Troubleshoot, debug, and fix security issues and vulnerabilities in Android applications and systems.

  • Solve and debug the issues of android security features coming from internal or external partners.

  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge with team.

  • Communicate technical implementation and issues clearly with the teams and partners.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in software development and 3 years of experience as an architect.

  • Excellent C/C++/Java/Kotlin design and coding skills

  • Experience in development in Android frameworks and Native frameworks, or development in User space and Kernel mode drivers on Android/Linux.

  • Knowledge of Android security architecture such as Android device Integrity, Android App integrity, and Trusted Application.

  • Capability to design and develop robust security solutions that align with industry standards and best practices.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex software and security issues.

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills

  • BS or equivalent experience

Additional Qualifications:

  • Ability to develop and manage trusted applications that operate within a TEE.

  • Familiarity with Android Key Master and Keystore API

  • Familiar with Trust Zone, PKI, and Cryptography

  • Familiarity with the System on Chip (SOC) Hardware architecture and software for SOC.

  • Ability to handle the debugger well to quickly identify and resolve issues spanning multiple subsystems.

  • Proven record of accomplishment in designing complex architecture from kernel to the application layer.

  • High tolerance to ambiguity and ability make progress in the face of it.

  • Experience with Azure Cloud and ADO (Azure DevOps) pipeline is preferred but not required.
