Google Senior Product Engineer, Machine Learning and GPU Accelerators in Taipei, Taiwan

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, related disciplines or equivalent practical experience.

  • 8 years of experience at a company developing supply chains in manufacturing and test.

  • Experience working with Original Device Manufacturers (ODMs), contract manufacturers and component suppliers for data center server type products.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

  • 10 years of experience at a company developing supply chains in manufacturing and test.

  • Experience working with ODMs, contract manufacturers and component suppliers for data center server accelerator products (e.g., GPU, FPGA, or ASIC).

  • Experience working with contract manufacturers and suppliers to drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous process improvements.

  • Experience with bring-up or bench testing hardware in a lab environment.

  • Knowledge of SQL queries and scripting in Python or Bash.

The Manufacturing Operations team is responsible for providing the manufacturing capability to deliver this state-of-the-art physical infrastructure. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you evaluate the product designs and create the processes, tools and procedures behind Google’s powerful search technology. When vendors build parts for our infrastructure, you’re right there alongside ensuring manufacturing processes are repeatable and controlled. You collaborate with Commodity Managers and Design Engineers to determine Google’s infrastructure needs and product specifications.   • Own the manufacturing plan, lead reviews between Design and Operations Engineering to drive deliverables that are key to implementing the manufacturing plan.

  • Provide support for pre-production builds, ensure factory readiness, support manufacturing line bring-up, provide product debug training, and gather feedback on build issues.

  • Lead the technology assessment for new products. Co-work with the product team to influence design decisions, highlight manufacturing risks, and develop mitigation plans.

  • Collaborate with Quality and Reliability Engineers to establish NPI and production goals for yield and long term reliability, and validate product qualification plans, support reliability testing, and review results to ensure product performance meets requirements.

  • Lead cross-functional team towards resolution of component/build quality excursions during NPI phases.
