Job Description Summary

To achieve the project execution excellence including reducing the overall cost of poor quality by meeting contractual requirements, achieve and exceed customer expectations, minimize non-conformities and build culture of learning and continuous improvement.

Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Focused on execution of standard enabling activities/provision of advice subject to policy and work routines within an enabling discipline. There may be some latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing situations.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage overall quality control (QC) of project scope including customer observation points (COPs)

  • Make sure that the contractual quality deliverables are complete and on time (PQPs, ITPs, quality documentation, customer quality reports, etc.)

  • Tracking incoming & outgoing customer letter for Quality

  • Prepare quality documentation for customer submissions and updating the project team on status

  • Ensure registration of customer non-conformities in GE tools and monitor resolution

  • Monitor the resolution of non-conformities raised by customer

  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional non-conformity resolution

  • Control and monitor project quality KPIs

  • Perform project internal audits and coordinate customer audits when required

  • Capture the project quality lessons learned

  • Take part in internal and/or Customer meeting where requested by the project quality manager

  • Support Project Quality Manager in coordinating communication with Project core team members that may be located globally

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate with Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent from Universities or Colleges;

  • Demonstrate a minimum of 2 working years professional experience in project quality, quality control and assurance (QA/QC), knowledge management, cross functional problem solving;

  • Operational experience in an OEM environment or EPC environment;

  • Fluent in English and Chinese, both written and spoken manners.

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience in Power Plant or Oil & Gas Business

  • Demonstrate change management achievements

  • ISO 9001 lead auditor qualification

  • Experience in project management

  • Certification related to continuous improvement (e.g. certified six sigma master black belt)

  • Welding, non-destructive testing, power plant equipment testing.
