Amazon Global Supply Planning Manager in Taipei, Taiwan

Description

As a Global Supply Planning Manager at Ring, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our global supply chain. You'll focus on production forecast planning based on sales demand and capacity across multiple programs. The planning activities will be base on demand priority, driving contract manufacturer (CM) to commit Available to Ship (ATS) plan, and customer expectations while optimizing inventory levels and minimizing costs. As Ring expands and scales, we are at a phase of building up global process and systems. We are seeking experts in forecast planning and process improvement to participate in the challenge.

Key job responsibilities

• Develop and execute production forecast, aligned with business objectives and customer demand, to ensure a reliable and efficient supply chain for both NPI and MP programs.

• Conduct analysis of production forecast, sales trends, and historical data to optimize inventory levels and ensure product availability.

• Work closely with contract manufacturer (CM) to establish strong relationships, manage capacity planning, monitor component supplier delivery performance, drive Available to Ship (ATS) plan, and proactively address any potential supply constraints or disruptions.

• Utilize data analytics and reporting tools to provide insights, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and communicate supply chain performance to stakeholders.

A day in the life

• Manage demand and supply to maximize commitments to meet sales demand.

• Work with cross-functional teams including Global Demand Planning, Material Management, Factory Operation Program Management, and Procurement Teams

• Involve analyzing and identifying areas for improvement, devising new processes, tools, or systems to enhance supply chain management.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program managemenr or project management experience

  • Experience in a variety of manufacturing and/or planning environments

  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, or a related field.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and influence stakeholders

  • Fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of supply chain management experience

  • Knowledge of factory operations and manufacturing processes

  • Experience in interacting and effectively communicating with cross-functional teams (internally and externally)

  • Readily and easily switches gears in response to unexpected events and circumstances

  • Have ability to solve problems even without standard process or mechanism

  • Experience in carrying out root cause analysis and proposing improvement initiatives

  • Familiar with supply chain metrics visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, PowerBI)
